Basement Press was established in 2004 by editor Nicola Chalton and designer Pascal Thivillon. From a basement office in Kilburn, North London, we worked with publishers such as HarperCollins, Constable & Robinson and Worth Press. We went on to develop projects and provide services for Barnes & Noble in the US, Amsterdam University Press, Indigo in Canada, Arcadia in the UK and others. In 2009 we moved to a rural community in the beautiful North York Moors National Park, and our 'basement office' is now an old stone parsonage.
